Mired Down in Debt

At times settling credit card debt can be comparable to trying to extricate yourself from quicksand. Many wonder, if I don’t have the money to pay my bills how am I going to come up with the money to pay off my credit cards? It’s important to sit down and figure out how much you owe on each of your credit cards. And don’t just look at the principal balance but look at how much each credit card is costing you each month in interest. The credit card with the highest interest rate is the one you want to focus on paying off first. Each month, dedicate a part of your paycheck towards paying back the debt. Don’t just make the minimum payments if you can avoid it because every little cent will reduce your debt load in the long run. If possible, sit down with a financial planner and discuss ways in which you can consolidate debt.
