I killed my Skil 18v batteries
I bought a Skil cordless drill a few months ago that runs on 18v batteries. The tool worked really well in the beginning, but lately I have noticed that it will lose power much quicker than before. I went to the store and they told me that it wasn’t normal and I should get some new ones. They supposedly come with a warranty, but I didn’t have the time to get my Skil 18v battery pack replaced because I needed the drill for a project that I’m working on. The batteries weren’t that expensive so I bought two new ones on the spot. They worked great, but after a few months of intensive use the same thing happened again. I couldn’t believe that Skil would make these terrible 18v batteries. Then I learned that I was totally mistreating my batteries which was causing them to die prematurely. I’m not on my third pair and everything is perfect so far. Don’t always blame the manufacturer!
