Learn How To Become a Bankruptcy Paralegal

Thursday, February 11th, 2010

When I was finishing up college last year, one of my professors said that due to the high bankruptcy rate around the country, that a legal profession specializing in bankruptcy law was a smart decision. I started looking into what it would take for me to become a bankruptcy paralegal, and I fond out that I didn’t need many more credits. I started working on them right away and in less than a year I was done. I was hired by a very successful firm in the city, and each day I get to help people start the process of rebuilding their lives. This job is amazing!

British Museum: Ancient Egypt Brought to Life

Wednesday, January 27th, 2010

The Ancient Egypt rooms at the British Museum are some of my favourite collections. I’ve always been fascinated by Egyptian culture and the collection does not disappoint. From coffins and sarcophaguses to gorgeous gem encrusted jewellery. The hieroglyphics are fascinating as well. I love the way that they tell a story through pictures and symbolic images. On my last visit to the British Museum I was so inspired by the artefacts that I think my next holiday will be to go to Egypt so I can see even more of the culture in its natural surroundings. I really can’t wait!

A couple hundred acquaintances

Saturday, January 23rd, 2010

Is possible you have a couple hundred acquaintances. No matter how large your network you probably only know a few experts in one particular area. You may only have one or two experts out of your 200 friends. Now think about social media because people put everything on a page and save it. Here’s an example of an article about a GoDaddy coupon that someone had posted. You now have thousands if not hundreds of thousands of friends. They may not be friends but you can get the same information from them. This makes sense right? Be sure to learn how to search content networks. You may not want to join one of the very least you can find information.

Making a Hard Decision

Saturday, January 16th, 2010

We really need to move out of this apartment and I’m trying so hard to have faith in jesus christ that we will make the right decision. I feel paralyzed by fear. What if we get locked in a lease and my husband loses his job? What if the landlord is dishonest and the place is going into foreclosure? What if my kids’ new school isn’t any good? What if the manager tries to charge us a lot when we move out of here even though we have a lot of normal wear and tear from these last 7 years? I have to keep my faith in Jesus Christ and know that the Spirit will guide us. I feel so scared and uncertain right now.

A Love of Nursing

Sunday, January 10th, 2010

One day during a testimony meeting at The Church of jesus christ of Latter-day Saints, this wonderful friend of mine got up to bear her testimony of Jesus Christ and she made a remark about another women’s testimony. She had mentioned that “nursery” was her favorite calling. This woman has about 7-8 children including twins. So this first woman I mentioned said, “I’m glad nursing is your favorite calling.” We laughed and laughed. That has to be the funniest Freudian slip I’ve ever heard at church. She turned so red, but I hope she wasn’t too embarrassed. She continued to get up after that.

MY DIY Wedding Experience

Saturday, January 9th, 2010

When I was planning my wedding, I didn’t want my parents to have to spend tens of thousands of dollars on my wedding alone, I still had a twin sister who was planning a wedding as well. So when there was a chance for me to get the wedding I’d always dreamed of while still saving my parents some good money in the process, I was all over it.

I got online, and starting searching some DIY wedding sites that could help me in my quest to have the best wedding possible without spending too much money. I found a lot of great ideas, and felt great about the money I was able to save my parents.

My Neighbor’s Cleaning Business

Wednesday, December 23rd, 2009

You can buy Thank You Messages and use them whenever you need to.  This is a great relief, especially for small business owners.  My neighbor owns a cleaning business.  She finds messages to fit every occasion she has needed.  She says that on a daily basis, she sends cards to her helpers and all of her customers. She says it’s a blessing not to have to think  about what to say on each card and take the time out of her busy day. She is pleased that it saves her time, reasonably priced and she can deduct the expense from her taxes.

He Led By Example

Wednesday, December 16th, 2009

One of the most interesting conversations I ever had was about the baptism of jesus christ. It is our belief that He was baptized to fulfill all righteousness and as an example to us. I believe it’s stated very plainly by the Savior that except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. One person I met interpreted this to mean that to be born of water has to do with the amniotic fluid when you are born. I think it’s simple. Jesus Christ was baptized, He stated the need for it, and we need to follow Him.
