The standardized form of spoken Chinese

Standard Cantonese is one of the official languages of Hong Kong and of Macau. Standard Cantonese is one of the six official languages of the United Nations. There are between six and twelve main regional groups of Chinese, with the largest by far being Mandarin, which is spoken by about 800 million people.
